Yesterday (17 November) marked the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, a day to remember those who died or were injured from road crashes and the plight of their loved ones who must cope with the consequences of their deaths or injuries.
Losing the war against sickies? Arm yourself

The Sydney Morning Herald’s Noel Towell and Phillip Thomson recently published an article titled, ‘Australian Public Service still losing the war against sickies’ (October 23, 2014). The article highlighted evidence that many public servants are taking excessive unscheduled absence, and as a result, new ‘sickie-busting units’ are being formed to battle to get staff to show up for work each day.
