What are 4 million Australian workers routinely missing out on?

A recent survey by The Australia Institute indicates that almost 4 million Aussie workers routinely skip lunch breaks to get work done. Of those, half cited being ‘too busy’ as the reason. Even of the workers who do usually eat lunch, almost three quarters do so at their desk, cut it short or postpone it until the afternoon because of a heavy workload.

A report from Samsung shows that almost three out of ten businesses do not trust their employees to work flexibly. Despite the fact that over half of businesses surveyed believe that more flexibility could improve productivity, in practice, many managers do not trust staff members to carry out their duties flexibly.
